Waxing lasts significantly longer than shaving by removing the hair from the root. This method leaves the skin hair free and SMOOTH for 3-6 weeks, while shaving only cuts the hair at the surface leading to stubble and irritation in 1-3 days. Waxing regrowth comes back soft, thin, and sparse with consistency. Shaving will grow back coarse, blunt, and with ingrown/irritation. While waxing can be a tad more painful in the moment, it's a more effective option for long term hair removal with less skin irritation and lasting consistent results!

For BEST RESULTS consistent waxing is essential. For many that is every 3-6 weeks with 4 weeks being more of a "sweet spot" for most. You want to allow time for proper hair regrowth to get the ideal waxing length which is 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch. Facial and Underarm hair often grow faster while larger areas are usually a week behind. EVERYONE is different so we would individually customize a plan for you.
The pain associated with waxing differs from person to person along with their genetic makeup. One person may have several nerve endings in one area, while another may not. If you have sensitive skin, don't worry. I treat every client as if they have sensitive skin. I've cultivated a refined, niche approach to waxing that combines advanced techniques with top-tier products for optimal results. Remember this pain is minor and very temporary. (like seconds)
Breathe and Relax! Waxing is super quick and speedy. For 24-48 hours after a wax, prioritize keeping the skin clean, cool and dry to avoid irritation and infection. AVOID hot showers, sauna, intense exercise, tight clothing, swimming, tanning, and sex. Instead, wear loose clothing to let your skin breathe.
You can ABSOLUTELY get a waxed on your period. You will need to wear a tampon/cup during your service, but otherwise it will be business as usual.
Yes! Some physicians do not recommend waxing for those with diabetes, varicose veins, or poor circulation. These conditions make you more susceptible to infection. Also, there are many medications that can affect your skin. If you are on medication, please consult a physician prior to scheduling an appointment. Waxing is never done on clients taking Accutane and is not recommended for clients using Retin A, Renova, Differin, or other types of skin thinning acne medications. Please read the label carefully and consult your dermatologist if you are taking any medication or using any topical cream that contains these medications. Individuals do react differently to these medications and sometimes waxing can be done if proper patch testing is completed.
Also, please advise me if you are allergic to any foods – because if you can’t eat it, you shouldn’t put the extracts on your skin. Please be completely honest with me about about all allergies (this includes latex) and medications you are taking – it is for your protection.
